Dr. Sowa has an expansive range of experience in all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine and surgery.  Shortly upon graduation from veterinary school she began practice in a rural mixed animal practice in Stanwood, Washington.  From there she progressed to the role of Emergency Veterinary Clinician in Yakima, Washington practicing emergency type medicine and surgery.  She also has experience in high quality high volume spay/neuter through a local shelter program in Spokane, WA.  Dr. Sowa had most recently worked at a local canine rehabilitation center providing therapeutic services to help veterinary patients recover and return to function.  When this facility closed she elected to continue providing this type of care to patients throughout the Inland Northwest.  Once  certification in rehabilitation is completed in 2019 she will be certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, Veterinary Chiropractic, and Canine Rehabilitation.  She enjoys taking a holistic approach to manage pain and restore function in companion animals. She utilizes a variety of modalities to accomplish this from acupuncture, laser therapy, chiropractic care, hydrotherapy  to the judicious use of nutraceuticals, supplements and other medications when and where needed.  Dr Sowa also treats cats and horses.
