Meet our Team

Julie Sowa
DVM, cVMA, cVSMT, CCRP
Dr. Sowa is a Washington State native. After graduation from the University of Washington she attended Colorado State University where she earned her doctorate degree in veterinary medicine and surgery. She later obtained additional certifications in veterinary acupuncture, veterinary chiropractic and canine rehabilitation. Dr. Sowa started Pawlouse Rehab in order to help improve the lives of pets using non-invasive treatment modalities. In her free time she enjoys riding horses, traveling, spending time out of doors and being with her family.

Erin Miller
LVT, CCAT (pending)
Erin is a Washington native who completed her bachelor's degree at Gonzaga University, received her Technician license from San Juan College, and is currently pursuing her CCAT in small animal physical therapy at the University of North Carolina State. She has a background in general practice, emergency medicine, and specializes in geriatric and obesity care. Erin is incredibly grateful to be a part of the talented and dedicated Pawlouse team where she can help heal and comfort our furry companions through progressive and non-invasive techniques. Outside the workplace, Erin enjoys hiking with her husband and dogs in the Spokane wilderness and entertaining her demanding house cats.

Kayla Murfin
LVT, CSCC
Kayla was born and raised in Spokane, and anyone that has ever known her will tell you that she is an animal lover. From the time that she could talk, a career in veterinary medicine was in her future. Kayla entered the veterinary field in 2014, obtained her degree in Veterinary Nursing and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2019, and hasn’t looked back since. She shares her life with her husband Steven, and shares her free time with four dogs lovingly called her “pack”. This group of dogs introduced her to the world of competitive dog sports, and created Kayla’s passion for canine fitness and conditioning. This passion keeps growing allowing Kayla to obtain her Certified Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach (CCSC) advanced certification in 2023. Kayla has been a member of the Pawlouse team since late 2022, and she can’t wait to help you meet your pet’s fitness goals.

Katie Tibbetts

Katie has lived in Spokane her entire life. She graduated from North Central High School and studied at Whitworth University for two years. She has a German Shepherd named Koda who enjoys playing fetch and going on walks. Katie loves spending time with her family and significant other, Connor. Some of Katie’s favorite things to do outside of work includes shopping and skiing in the winter time. She has enjoyed learning and growing at Pawlouse Vet Rehab and watching the progress and recovery of each pet! Katie cannot wait to meet you and help care for your pets!
