What to expect at your Initial Consultation...

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment, with your pet on a leash or in a carrier.

Upon your arrival, please allow your pet adequate time to relieve itself outside and check in with our receptionist to complete the registration process. One of our team members will record your pet's current weight, as well as take pictures and take a video of how your pet moves.

Dr. Sowa will thoroughly review your pet's medical record and history with you, so please make sure to bring a detailed list of all medications and supplements your pet is currently taking, including the names and dosage information.

Next, Dr. Sowa will complete a comprehensive physical, orthopedic, and neurological examination of your pet that includes baseline measurements prior to starting treatment. This is a very thorough examination process and will take about an hour.

Once the examination is completed, Dr. Sowa will review her findings with you and prescribe a custom treatment plan based on your goals and your pet's needs.

A detailed report of your pet's exam will be emailed directly to you, as well as your regular veterinarian. Dr. Sowa strives to work with you and your primary care veterinarian to enhance your pet's mobility.
